The “Riding the Waves” Contest

1. CONTEST INFORMATION:
📍 Who can take part: HUFLIT students
📍 Registration: 📅 from 13/04/2026 until all places are filled.
📍 Contest date: 21/04/2026
📍 Venue: Hóc Môn campus library
📍 Format: team competition (the Organizing Committee will form teams for individual registrants)

2. CONTEST CONTENT
The contest is run as a station rally: each team takes turns at every station (in no fixed order):
🚩 Station 1: Compass of Knowledge – Search for and find books using clues provided by the Organizing Committee.
🚩 Station 2: Sea Chart Puzzle – Correctly match authors with literary works.
🚩 Station 3: Ocean Signals – Guess the title of a work from images/emoji.
🚩 Station 4: Eye of the Ocean – Watch a video and answer questions.
🚩 Station 5: Treasure of Knowledge – Answer multiple-choice questions about Book Day, the Library Rules and reading culture
Time limit: 5–7 minutes per station. Teams compete at the same time under the Organizing Committee's guidance.
3. SCORING
- Each correct answer: 10 points.
- Team score = total points from all 05 stations.
- In case of a tie: the teams draw a tie-breaker question, and the team that answers it correctly the fastest wins
4. GENERAL RULES
- Teams must arrive on time as announced by the Organizing Committee.
- Follow the instructions of the Station Leaders and the Organizing Committee.
- Do not use materials or devices unless permitted.
- Do not cause disorder or disturb other teams. Respect the Organizing Committee's scoring.
5. Prizes
- 01 First Prize: VND 2,000,000
- 01 Second Prize: VND 1,500,000
- 01 Third Prize: VND 1,000,000
- 02 Consolation Prizes: VND 500,000 each
