“MY BOOK - MY TREASURE” VIDEO CONTENT CONTEST

To create a space for sharing a love of books and to inspire a passion for reading among HUFLIT students, HUFLIT Library is organizing the “My Book - My Treasure” contest – a colorful, creative playground where each student introduces a favorite book from their own perspective. This book review contest is not only a chance to encourage reading but also part of building a strong, vibrant reading community. Share your thoughts on a book you have read for a chance to win attractive prizes.

How to enter:

Each individual or group chooses a work they love (a literary work, a poem, or a story from a book) and introduces that book or work in a short video (in any creative format: a review, a re-enactment of an excerpt, or new song lyrics based on the book).

Entry requirements:
Each entry has 2 parts:
Part 1: Video.
+ Format: contest videos must use a 16:9 aspect ratio (phone screen ratio) and be submitted as mp4 files.
+ Length: 60s – 180s.
+ Content: creative, with images and sound that suit the original work.
+ Entries must not duplicate content already published in the mass media.
Part 2: Accompanying post.
+ Contestants send the Organizing Committee a short text (no more than 3,000 words) describing their thoughts on the chosen book (why you chose it, how you felt reading it, and a message about reading culture for young people).
+ Submission period: from 20/03/2024 to 22:00 on 01/04/2024
+ Posting and voting period: from 04/04/2024 to 22:00 on 10/04/2024
+ Presentation round and announcement of winning entries: the Judging Panel selects 15 entries for the final round. Expected date: 19/04/2024
Prizes:

  • 1 First Prize: VND 2,000,000, a commemorative medal and a Certificate of Merit from the Rector.
  • 1 Second Prize: VND 1,500,000, a commemorative medal and a Certificate of Merit from the Rector.
  • 1 Third Prize: VND 1,000,000, a commemorative medal and a Certificate of Merit from the Rector.
  • 2 Consolation Prizes: VND 500,000, a commemorative medal and a Certificate of Merit from the Rector.

*Note: This activity counts toward training points.
